Coroner Identifies Man Killed in Irwindale Crash
IRWINDALE, Calif. (Dec. 21, 2021) – Cris Choi, 46, died Monday in a collision with a big rig truck on the Interstate 605 Freeway in Irwindale.
The two-vehicle traffic accident happened about 9:57 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 19th, just south of Arrow Highway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The Los Angeles County Coroner’s office identified Cris Choi on its website.
Cris Choi was riding in a vehicle that reportedly crashed into a big rig truck on the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway.
The California Highway Patrol and paramedics responded to the scene to help those hurt in the crash, but sadly Cris Choi died at the scene. It’s unknown if there were others hurt in the Irwindale collision.
Meanwhile, investigators are working on the case in an effort to determine liability for the collision.
