Cristian Jaime Killed in Crash on Trimmer Springs Road in Fresno County

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (June 16, 2025) — Cristian Jaime, 46, died in a crash on Trimmer Springs Road and the driver of the pickup truck he was riding in was arrested for DUI, according to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office.
The collision occurred around 7:15 p.m. on Saturday, June 14th, just north of Lakeview Avenue, in Fresno County.
A 40-year-old Fresno man was driving a white GMC pickup with four passengers. The vehicle was traveling at high speed while heading southbound on Trimmer Springs Road. The motorist reportedly lost control of the vehicle at a curve in the roadway. The vehicle rolled roughly 200 feet down a steep embankment and came to a stop after it collided with a tree.
The 46-year-old male passenger died, and three other passengers suffered minor to moderate injuries.
Meanwhile, the driver suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to a hospital. Investigators determined the driver was intoxicated and he was arrested for felony Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Vehicular Manslaughter with Gross Negligence.
However, due to the extent of the driver’s injuries, he was not booked into Fresno County Jail at this time.
