Cristie Manuwa, 65, Seriously Injured in Lost Hills Car Crash on Interstate 5
LOST HILLS, CA (November 18, 2021) – A fatal car crash seriously injured Cristie Manuwa on the Interstate 5 near Lost Hills.
The California Highway Patrol identified the 65-year-old Torrance woman as the victim in the wreck which took place on Wednesday.
The incident began when Cristie Manuwa was driving a 2020 Ford south on the Interstate 5 near Lost Hills. At the same time, a 2004 Hyundai was traveling north in the southbound lanes.
Man, 62, Killed in Head-On Collision
CHP said the Hyundai then slammed head-on into the Ford. The Bakersfield Californian and Midway Taft Driller wrote that the two crashed north of Highway 46.
Cristie Manuwa sustained major injuries as a result of the car crash. Paramedics soon rushed her to the Kern Medical for treatment.
CHP confirmed that the driver of the Hyundai, a 62-year-old Bakersfield man, died at the scene. The accident occurred on November 17 at around 3:20 p.m.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the southbound side of the Interstate 5 to shut down for hours following the wreck. The cause of the Lost Hills crash is still under investigation.
