Cristina Niland, 27, Injured in Car Accident on Interstate 5 Saturday
Lebec, CA (January 4, 2021) – Six people, including three children, suffered injuries following a solo-car crash on Interstate 5 Saturday afternoon.
The Bakersfield.com reported a GMC Envoy hit the guardrail along 5 Freeway, just north of Fort Tejon Road. Officials believed the driver, 28-year-old Roldwin Ramos, lost control of the vehicle and allowed it to careen off the roadway. Subsequently, the car flipped and drove down an embankment. When emergency teams arrived at the site, they found the GMC resting on its wheels.
Shortly after 1:15 p.m., medical personnel responded to the crash and rendered aid to the victims. According to the news article, three children and three adults suffered injuries as a result of the collision.
Authorities identified one victim as 27-year-old Cristina Niland. The woman, whose place of residence remained unknown, reportedly sustained minor injuries in the wreck.

Our sources added the collision also resulted in injuries to a 2-year-old boy; 9-year-old boy; a 7-year-old boy; and a 58-year-old woman.
Officials mentioned the driver, 28-year-old Roldwin Ramos of Norfolk, suffered moderate injuries. Due to his condition, paramedics transported him to a hospital for treatment.
Several factors surrounding the traffic accident remained unclear. Given that, investigators handling the case continue to work to determine the precise cause of the crash in Lebec.
