2-Vehicles Involved in Deadly Collision on Westbound Highway 4
DATE OF COLLISION: Tuesday, December 25th
December 28, 2018- According to the East Bay Times, a deadly 2-car accident was reported Christmas morning on westbound Highway 4 near the Cummings Skyway off-ramp.
Authorities were notified of the accident at 10:45 a.m. involving a black Nissan Exterra SUV and a red Ford Taurus sedan.
Limited details have been made available at this time, however, it was confirmed that one person sadly did not survive and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
It remains unclear which vehicle the decedent was inside of and whether or not any other motorists suffered injuries and were hospitalized.
Following the collision, a closure of the highway was implemented at Cummings Way forcing motorists to turn around and detour to their destinations.
No additional information has been provided as the investigation is currently ongoing.
