WALNUT, Calif. (Dec. 6, 2021) — A driver struck a crossing guard in a Walnut pedestrian accident on Brea Canyon Cutoff Road near the Ybarra Academy of Arts and Technology.

The Walnut pedestrian accident happened about 7:46 a.m. on Dec. 6th at the crosswalk in front of the school, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Driver Hits Crossing Guard Near School in Walnut

The accident occurred when a driver in a white Honda Civic struck the crossing guard in Walnut due to unknown circumstances.

Deputies with the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene and requested paramedics to respond. The Los Angeles County Fire Department sent an ambulance to the scene. The CHP report did not mention the extent of injuries.

Meanwhile, investigators will determine fault for the Walnut pedestrian accident.
