1 Killed, 1 Injured in Culver City Crash Near La Cienega and Wrightcrest
CULVER CITY, CA (June 19, 2022) – A crash killed one person and injured another near La Cienega Boulevard and Wrightcrest Drive in Culver City.
According to the KTLA News and My News LA, the tragic accident took place late Saturday night. Officers reported the wreck at about 10:16 p.m.
The incident happened on June 18 when a white sedan south on La Cienega Boulevard near Wrightcrest Drive in Culver City. For an unknown reason, the car collided with another vehicle near the intersection.
2 Vehicles Collide
Police said the sedan went off the roadway and struck a light pole nearby. The car ended up cut in half due to the impact of the collision.
Paramedics soon arrived and pronounced the 23-year-old woman driving the sedan dead at the scene. Firefighters freed the other driver who became trapped inside the wreckage.
Medical personnel provided treatment to the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the incident. The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released.
Meanwhile, police forced the area of La Cienega and Wrightcrest to shut down for a time following the wreck. The cause of the fatal Culver City crash is still under investigation.
