CULVER CITY, California (June 9, 2016) –– A motorcyclist was critically injured when he or she collided with a car that turned into the bike’s path Wednesday night on Centinela Avenue, according to the Culver City Police Department.
The crash took place about 8:28 p.m. last night near Green Valley Circle. Police say the driver in the gray car was attempting to make a left-hand turn into a Chevron gas station when an oncoming motorcycle struck its passenger side.
Paramedics responded to the scene and transported the injured rider to a hospital where they were taken into surgery for major injuries. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, police said.
The crash is under investigation and a report will indicate liability.
