
Motorcyclist Injured in Crash on I-280 or Junipero Serra Freeway
CUPERTINO, Calif. (July 25, 2024) — A motorcycle versus car accident happened Thursday morning on the southbound Interstate 280 Freeway near the De Anza Boulevard off ramp in Cupertino.
The collision occurred on Junipero Serra Freeway at around 7:38 a.m. on July 25th, just north of State Route 85, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A witnessed called CHP dispatch and reported a Tesla driver struck the white Ducati motorcycle in the No. 1 lane. The caller told operators they “saw (the bike) flipping and smoke and saw the helmet come off.”
The rider went down in the roadway and suffered a broken leg and other injuries, the report said.
Paramedics responded and transported the injured rider to a hospital.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the motorcycle accident on the 280 Freeway in Cupertino.
