Cynthia Campana Killed in Crash on San Francisquito Canyon Road
Woman Killed, 2 Injured in Collision Near Green Valley
SANTA CLARITA, Calif. (Nov. 29, 2023) — Cynthia Campana, 31, of Valencia, died and two others were hurt in a crash Monday night on San Francisquito Canyon Road.
The two-vehicle collision occurred at around 5:11 p.m. on Nov. 27th, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.
The Valencia woman was driving a 2017 Honda CR-V southbound on San Francisquito Canyon Road, The Signal reports. Police say a driver in a white 2016 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck crossed over the double yellow lines and collided into her vehicle, just north of Pelton Street and south of Green Valley, the report said. The truck caught on fire after the crash.
Meanwhile, Cynthia Campana sustained major injuries and died at the scene.
Manuel Rosas Aguilar, 41, of Lancaster, was taken to a hospital with major injuries and his 27-year-old male passenger was treated for minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
