Cynthia Sabo, 52, Killed in Los Angeles Hit-and-Run at 89th Street and Central Avenue
SOUTH LOS ANGELES, CA (March 14, 2022) – A hit-and-run crash killed Cynthia Sabo at 89th Street and Central Avenue in South Los Angeles.
Police identified the 52-year-old Hawthorne woman as the victim of the fatal collision which took place last week on Thursday.
The incident happened when Cynthia Sabo was crossing 89th Street by Central Avenue in the Green Meadows neighborhood of South Los Angeles.
Police said for an unknown reason, a car struck her. The KTLA News wrote that the accident occurred on March 10 at around 10:45 p.m.
Driver Hits Pedestrian, Flees Scene
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and then found the pedestrian down on the ground. She sustained serious as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the woman dead. Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver exited the vehicle to see the victim, went back in and fled the area.
Officers described the car as a Camaro or a Charger which obtained front-end damage after hitting the woman. They are still searching for the hit-and-run suspect who left Cynthia Sabo in the roadway.
The cause of the South Los Angeles hit-and-run crash is still under investigation. Family members set up a GoFundMe page to help cover the funeral expenses of the victim.
