Cynthia Throm, 63; and Dennis Throm, 77, Seriously Injured in Calistoga Head-On Crash
CALISTOGA, CA (March 13, 2023) – A crash left Cynthia Throm and Dennis Throm seriously injured on Highway 128 in Calistoga.
The California Highway Patrol identified the Brookings, Oregon residents as the occupants of a car involved in a collision on Sunday.
The incident happened when Cynthia Throm, 63, was driving a 2020 Hyundai Palisade with Dennis Throm, 77, as her passenger in Calistoga. The two were going west on Highway 128.
At the same time, a 2020 Honda CR-V was traveling east. CHP said for an unknown reason, the two vehicles collided near the intersection with Tubbs Lane.
Child Involved in Wreck
The Napa Valley Register wrote that the wreck took place on March 12 at about 5:07 p.m. Cynthia Throm and Dennis Throm sustained serious injuries as a result of the crash.
Paramedics rushed them to the Providence Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for treatment. The driver and a child passenger of the Honda also ended up with major injuries following the accident.
Medical personnel transported the other patients to a hospital for further aid. Meanwhile, officers forced a stretch of Highway 128 to shut down for a time after the wreck.
The cause of the Calistoga crash is still under investigation.
