DAGGETT, California (November 17, 2014) – Randy Rader, 37, of Barstow was killed early Sunday morning when the tow truck he was riding in rear-ended a big rig truck in the westbound lanes of the Interstate 40 Freeway, according to a dispatch by the California Highway Patrol.
Rader was riding in the front-right passenger seat of a 2006 Chevrolet truck that was traveling westbound on Highway 40 about a mile east of A Street when its driver hit the semi-tractor trailer truck. Paramedics responded to the scene of the crash, but Rader was pronounced dead.
Police will investigate the crash to determine liability.
