Daisy Gomez, 18, Killed in 10 Freeway Crash
WHITEWATER, Riverside County (Sept. 8, 2017) — Daisy Diaz Gomez, 18, was killed Thursday night when her car was struck by a big rig truck on the Interstate 10 Freeway near the Highway 111 transition and Whitewater exit, according to the Riverside County Sheriff Coroner.
The fatal crash took place about 9:30 p.m. last night when the truck hit a stalled silver sedan and a small white car. The white car veered off the roadway and Gomez was trapped inside. She died of her injuries at the scene.
The driver in the silver car suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital as a precaution. The truck driver was not injured.
