Daisy Ojeda, 23, Injured in Traffic Collision on Highway 99 Saturday
Salida, CA (April 4, 2021) – A pedestrian accident resulted in injuries to a driver, 23-year-old Daisy Ojeda, Saturday on Highway 99.
The Modesto Bee News reported Daisy Ojeda was behind the wheel of a 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Our sources indicated the Modesto woman was heading south on the highway around 2:25 am.
Pedestrian Killed in Salida Accident, April 4
When the driver approached the area north of Kiernan Avenue in Salida, she reportedly struck a male pedestrian. The force from the impact resulted in minor injuries to Daisy Ojeda. Responding paramedics rushed the driver to a hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, officials mentioned several other vehicles struck the pedestrian lying on the road. Authorities confirmed the 59-year-old man sadly died as a result of the collision.
Detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate exactly how and why the pedestrian accident in Salida happened.
