Dakota Stone, 20, Killed in Ventura Motorcycle Crash on Highway 101
VENTURA, CA (September 6, 2021) – Dakota Stone was killed after a motorcycle crash on Highway 101 near Highway 126 in Ventura.
The California Highway Patrol identified the 20-year-old San Clemente man as the victim of the fatal wreck which occurred on Sunday.
The incident began when Dakota Stone was riding a Kawasaki motorcycle on northbound Highway 101 in Ventura. For an unknown reason, he collided with a Toyota Corolla.
Collision Near Highway 126
CHP said the two crashed near the juncture with eastbound Highway 126. The Ventura County Star wrote that the accident took place on September 5 shortly before 11 a.m.
Firefighters along with the paramedics then arrived at the scene near Telephone Road. They confirmed that Dakota Stone died as a result of the Ventura crash.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the driver of the car ended up hurt or if they stopped after the wreck. Officers forced a slow lane of northbound Highway 101 to shut down following the crash.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
