Dalila Jebrail, 18, Killed in Oceanside Crash on El Camino Real
OCEANSIDE, CA (July 24, 2021) – A car crash killed Dalila Jebrail near El Camino Real and Fire Mountain Drive in Oceanside.
Police determined that the 18-year-old Oceanside woman was the victim of the fatal wreck which occurred on Friday night.
The incident happened on July 23 when Dalila Jebrail was driving an SUV north on El Camino Real in Oceanside. At the same time, a 2013 Nissan Pathfinder was going south.
Police said the Nissan then crossed the center median and slammed into a fire hydrant. The Pathfinder went into the opposing traffic lanes and struck her car and a third vehicle.
The San Diego Union-Tribune and FOX 5 News described the other two cars as a 2010 Jeep Patriot and a 2005 Toyota 4Runner. One of them rolled over upon impact.
3 Injured in Suspected DUI Crash
The accident took place shortly after 11 p.m. near Fire Mountain Drive. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and pronounced Dalila Jebrail dead at the scene of the Oceanside crash.
Her 18-year-old female passenger sustained several injuries as a result of the wreck. Medical personnel took her and the male driver of the Pathfinder to a hospital for treatment.
Officials treated an occupant in the third vehicle involved for the minor wounds he suffered in the wreck. They did not release the names and condition of the wounded parties.
Meanwhile, police believed that the man operating the Nissan was under the influence of alcohol when he hit the victims. The Oceanside car crash is still under investigation.
