Dalila Perez, 33, Killed in Car Accident on Highway 78
VISTA (August 11, 2018) – On August 5, Sunday, 33-year-old Dalila Perez was killed in a multi-vehicle collision on Highway 78 Near Mar Vista Drive.
According to the San Diego Union-Tribune, Perez was driving a Corolla westbound on the highway when for unknown reasons she lost control of her car. Perez then drifted into the dirt on the right shoulder of the highway, then veered back across four traffic lanes and rolled into the center divider.
Perez was then subsequently struck by a Scion XB driven by a 54-year-old man, from San Marcos. The force of the second crash pushed the Corolla to its side and ejected Perez onto the roadway.
Officials added an oncoming Scion XC was unable to stop in time to avoid the wreckage and ended up slamming into the rear of the Scion XB stopped in the left lane of the highway.
