At Least 1 Hurt in Hit-and-Run Collision Near Dusty Lane
Modesto, CA (May 8, 2022) – Dalton Binda, a 32-year-old man, suffered injuries following a suspected DUI hit-and-run crash on Albers Road Sunday morning.
The Modesto Bee News reported Binda was driving a 2016 Nissan SUV traveling south on Albers. Officials said the collision happened when a northbound 2003 Volkswagen sedan veered into the opposite lane, and drove into the path of the Nissan. The two vehicles ended up crashing into each other in the area near Dusty Lane in Modesto.

Shortly after 9 a.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. First responders found Binda, of Turlock, with injuries. An ambulance transported the patient to Memorial Medical Center for treatment.
The article published online mentioned the driver of the Volkswagen, and two other passengers all ran west toward a canal. Stanislaus County sheriff’s deputies and California Highway Patrol personnel worked extensively to apprehend the hit-and-run suspects. During the investigation process, the Volkswagen reportedly showed signs of intoxication.
Detectives continue to determine several unclear factors surrounding the traffic accident in Modesto.
