3-Vehicle Crash on Highway 1 in Daly City
DALY CITY, Calif. (August 23, 2022) — A major-injury Daly City crash on the northbound Highway 1 happened Tuesday morning at the transition to the southbound Interstate 280 Freeway.
The collision occurred about 7:04 a.m. on August 23th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A in a Toyota Scion reportedly crashed into a barrier and became stopped on the freeway ramp. Next, an oncoming Nissan Sentra crashed into the Scion and after the Scion’s driver stepped out of the car he was struck by a Toyota Yaris, according to East Bay Times.
Paramedics responded to the scene to help at least one person with major injuries. They were taken by ambulance to San Francisco General Hospital.
Meanwhile, police requested three tow trucks to remove the damaged vehicles from the scene and held for evidence.
Investigators are working on the case and will determine fault for the Daly City crash.
