CHP Officer Injured in Wrong-Way Collision
Daly City, CA (September 9, 2022) – A California Highway Patrol officer, and two others suffered injuries following a car accident that occurred on the Interstate 280.
According to CBS and KRON4 News, multiple vehicles collided along I-280 near State Route Highway 92. Our sources indicated a northbound a silver Honda veered into the opposite lanes and continued heading north in the southbound side of the freeway.
Wrong-Way Crash on Interstate 280 in Daly City
Shortly after 4 a.m., authorities spotted the wrong-way motorist on the freeway near Serramonte Boulevard. The article published online mentioned the driver of the Honda ignored the officers; and attempted to evade the patrol vehicle. In the process, the wrong-way motorist ended up hitting at least one CHP officer
Our sources confirmed one officer, and two other unidentified parties sustained injuries as a result of the wreck. Personal information on the victim have not been discussed thus far.
Several factors surrounding the incident remained unclear. At this time, detectives continue to investigate exactly how and why the crash happened on the Interstate 280 in Daly City.
