4 Injured After SamTrans Bus Crash in Daly City Serramonte Center Parking Lot
DALY CITY, CA (December 2, 2022) – Several were injured after a SamTrans bus crash in a parking lot at the Serramonte Center in Daly City.
According to the East Bay Times and KCRA News, the accident took place late Friday morning. Officers reported the wreck shortly after 11:50 a.m.
The incident happened when a SamTrans bus slammed into multiple cars in the parking lot at the Serramonte Center. The bus collided with 16 vehicles near the Target department store in Daly City.
A witness said the bus was making a turn into the shopping center when its driver lost control. The bus jumped a curb and crashed through the parking lot.
Bus Crashes Into Several Cars
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and found at least four people who ended up hurt as a result of the collision. Officials listed one victim in critical condition.
Medical personnel then rushed the patients to the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center for treatment of unspecified injuries .
The reports did not disclose the names of all the wounded parties. Meanwhile, officers forced the parking lot of the Serramonte Center to shut down for a time following the wreck.
Officials added that they located several cars and numerous carts damaged in the parking lot. The cause of the Daly City bus crash is still under investigation.
