Child Hit by Car in Fatal Labor Day Accident
POMONA, Calif. (Sept. 3, 2018) -A 12-year-old boy who was struck and killed in a crash on Monday has been identified as Damian Bonilla, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner.
The collision was reported about 8 p.m. on Labor day in the 300 block of East Foothill Boulevard, according to the Pomona Police Department. The child was hospitalized after the collision, but later died of his injuries.
The driver in the vehicle stopped and is cooperating with the investigation.
Police closed down Foothill Boulevard between Garey Avenue and Sumner Street to conduct their investigation into liability for the child’s death.

A full investigation into what caused this collision is underway. Police are piecing together evidence and will interview any witnesses to determine fault.
