Pregnant Woman Killed in Car Accident on Monroe Street
Indio, CA (December 2, 2021) – Police arrested 21-year-old Damian Flores in relation with a deadly hit-and-run collision that occurred on Monroe Street.
On March 9, Damian Flores was behind the wheel of a Dodge Dart traveling in the streets of Indio. When the vehicle approached the area near Highway 111, the driver allowed the car to veer off the roadway.
The KESQ News reported the vehicle ended up crashing into a power pole. The catastrophic incident took place in front of the Winchell’s Donut store.
When rescue teams arrived at the crash site, they found a pregnant woman trapped in the wreckage. Paramedics rushed the pregnant woman to the hospital, where she sadly died three days later.

Meanwhile, the article published online mentioned the driver of the Dodge fled the scene before police arrived. Investigators eventually identified the suspect as Damian Flores. Police arrested the man on charges of hit-and-run causing death and vehicular manslaughter.
Damian Flores is scheduled to appear in court on December 3, 2021.
