Damian Frazier, 26, Hit by DUI Driver Near California Aqueduct
PHELAN (September 17, 2017) – A bicyclist was killed in an alleged DUI hit-and-run crash on Johnson Road Friday afternoon, according to Victor Valley.
San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner’s Division identified the victim as 26-year-old Damian Chase Frazier, of Phelan.
As per the article, deputies said Frazier was riding his bicycle north on Johnson Road when he was struck from behind by a 2003 Chevy Silverado. The accident took place north of La Mesa Road near the California Aqueduct.
Sage Goodman, 23, Arrested
Frazier was taken by ambulance to Desert Valley Hospital, where he sadly succumbed to his injuries at 3:02 p.m.
Officials affirmed that the driver of the truck, 23-year-old Sage Aaron Jones Goodman, did not see Frazier and hit him. Goodman reportedly failed to stop and fled the scene.
The Wrightwood man was later located and arrested for gross vehicular manslaughter, felony hit-and-run and DUI with a bail set at $250,000.
