Fatal Traffic Collision Near Western Avenue
Ben Lomond, CA (July 27, 2022) – Damian Lanctot, a 39-year-old man, died following a motorcycle accident that occurred on Alba Road.
According to Santa Cruz Sentinel News, Lanctot was riding on a 2019 Honda motorcycle heading east on Alba Road. Earlier reports indicated the motorcyclist collided with a 2021 Toyota 4Runner in the area just east of Western Avenue.
The article published online mentioned the horrible crash took place Saturday around 3:17 p.m.
When rescue teams arrived at the location, they found the rider ejected onto the ground. Medical personnel immediately attended to the victim. Despite life-saving measures performed by paramedics, the motorcyclist sadly succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene. Authorities identified the fatal victim as Damian Lanctot, of Ben Lomond.
Authorities added the 51-year-old woman driving the 4Runner sustained injuries after the collision. An ambulance transported the patient to a local hospital for treatment.
Several factors surrounding the horrible crash remained unclear. At this time, detectives continue to investigate exactly how and why the deadly accident happened on Alba Road in Ben Lomond.
