Bicyclist Dana Kuehl Killed in Oxnard Crash at Hemlock and Seaside
OXNARD (June 19, 2019) – A bicyclist killed after a traffic collision in the area of Hemlock Street and Seaside Drive Tuesday has been identified as Dana Kuehl.
The 44-year-old woman from Port Hueneme was the victim of the tragic accident which was reported on June 18 at about 5:30 a.m.
According to a news article written by The Ventura County Star, police said Kuehl was riding a bicycle west on Hemlock Street when she turned left into the path of a 2006 Ford Explorer.

The Ford, also going westbound, was reportedly approaching Seaside Drive when its driver was unable to avoid the cyclist. The car then hit the victim at the intersection.
Paramedics responded to the scene and found Kuehl lying in the roadway with major injuries. She was taken to Ventura County Medical Center in Ventura where she was later pronounced dead.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the 26-year-old Oxnard man driving the Explorer stopped following the wreck and cooperated with the authorities. The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
