Cyclist Fatally Struck by Vehicle at PCH and Crown Valley Parkway
Dana Point, CA (February 1, 2023) – A fatal traffic collision occurred in the area of Pacific Coast Highway and Crown Valley Parkway on February 1, Wednesday.
The KTLA5 News reported a white Lexus struck a man riding a bicycle at the intersection in Dana Point. Preliminary investigation revealed the driver of the Lexus pulled around the cyclist after the crash. Subsequently, the Lexus driver stepped out of their car and assaulted the victim.
Deadly Bicycle Accident in Dana Point
Officials said the driver of the Lexus was not at the scene when they arrived at about 3 p.m. Responding medical personnel rendered first aid to the injured cyclist then transported him to a hospital. Sadly, the patient eventually succumbed to his injuries and passed away. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
No immediate information was available on the identity and location of the suspect. At this time, detectives continue to investigate the precise circumstances that led up to the deadly accident at Pacific Coast Highway and Crown Valley Parkway in Dana Point.
