3 Seriously Injured in Dana Point Crash on Pacific Coast Highway
DANA POINT, CA (April 29, 2023) – Several were seriously injured after a crash on Pacific Coast Highway near Beach Road in Dana Point.
According to an article published by My News LA, the accident took place early Saturday. Officers reported the wreck on April 29 at around 12 a.m.
The incident happened when two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Dana Point. The cars crashed on Pacific Coast Highway near Beach Road.
2 Cars Collide
The Orange County Fire Authority said one car caught fire and the other vehicle rolled over upon impact. Crews pulled out one occupant from the burning car.
Firefighters freed the two trapped people, a man and a woman in their 30s, from the overturned vehicle. All three patients sustained moderate to serious injuries as a result of the collision.
Paramedics rushed the victims to the Providence Mission Hospital Mission Viejo for treatment. The report did not release the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, officers forced Pacific Coast Highway to shut down in both directions following the wreck. The cause of the Dana Point crash is still under investigation.
