Stewart Found Dead after Being Possibly Struck by Vehicle
DANA POINT, California (June 6, 2016) – A man who was found dead in the roadway last week and may have been a victim of a hit-and-run collision has been identified as 22-year-old John Stewart, according to The Orange County Register.
Sheriff’s department said Stewart was killed in the early hours of June 3 near Crown Valley Parkway and Seven Seas Drive. He was believed to be from Orange County.
He was seen with severe trauma to his upper body. The injuries that Stewart sustained are reportedly consistent with a victim of a hit-and-run incident.
As per the article, the death of the 22-year-old man has been deemed suspicious since authorities did not have any lead on what caused his fatal injuries or how he ended up in the street.
Investigators are looking into a surveillance footage from the scene. They believed Stewart was probably struck between 3:30 a.m. and 4:15 a.m.
We offer our prayers and most heartfelt condolences to the friends and family members of Mr. John Stewart during such a difficult time. We hope the authorities will be able to determine the cause of this tragedy and justice will soon be served.
