SAN DIEGO COUNTY, Calif. (Feb. 15, 2023) — Dana Terry, 67, of El Cajon, died Monday in a motorcycle crash at Navajo Road and Bisby Lake Avenue in the Lake Murray area.
The two-vehicle crash occurred about 6 a.m. on Feb. 13th, according to the Times of San Diego.
Also, a 51-year-old woman was arrested following the deadly crash. She allegedly drove through a red traffic light at the intersection and into the path of the motorcyclist.

Authorities say the woman was driving a 2020 Kia Soul on Bisby Lake Avenue. She reportedly ran through a red traffic light and made a left turn in front of a 1986 Yamaha SRX-6 motorcycle driven by Dana Terry on Navajo Road. Apparently, the motorcyclist applied his brakes in an attempt to avoid colliding with the car, but lost control and the two vehicles crashed.
The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office identified Dana Terry on its website. However, an article in the San Diego Union Tribune spells his name as Dane Terry.
Paramedics responded and rushed the injured biker to Sharp Memorial Hospital, but sadly he was already dead upon his arrival.
Meanwhile, the San Diego Police Department investigating the crash arrested the 51-year-old woman and they are investigating the crash and will determine fault.
