Deadly, 2-Vehicle Crash on Christmas Eve
LAFAYETTE, Calif. (Dec. 28, 2021) — Daneen Allenkiester, 56, of Lafayette, died on Christmas Eve in a two-vehicle crash at St. Marys Road at Glenside Drive and Woodview Drive.
The woman and two others were treated at the hospital for injuries following the 10:47 a.m. crash on Dec. 24th, according to East Bay Times.
The Contra Costa Sheriff’s Office released a statement that reports Daneen Allenkiester was allegedly driving drunk when her car collided with another motorist at the Lafayette intersection.
Paramedics rushed all three people to a hospital, but sadly Daneen Allenkiester died two days later.
Meanwhile, the driver and passenger from the other vehicle suffered minor injuries and were treated at the hospital and later released.
Investigators continue to piece together evidence and will determine fault for the crash.
