Motorcyclist killed, 2 Injured Wrong-Way DUI Crash
SANTA ROSA (August 3, 2018)- Daniel Adams, 56, of Windsor, died and two others were injured when they collided with an alleged wrong-way driver on Highway 101, according to the Press Democrat.
The female suspect, identified as Sherry Risch, 53, was arrested on DUI and gross vehicular manslaughter after she allegedly drove her 2005 Kia Rio southbound in the northbound lanes of the highway. She crashed into a Honda Odyssey and the motorcyclist.
Adams died at the scene of the crash. Phim Kho, 44, and Yu Kwong, 59, who were in the Honda Odyssey, were both injured in the crash. Paramedics rushed both of them by ambulances to Memorial Hospital.
Police suspect that Risch was driving under the influence of drugs at the time of the collision.
