Rider Dies in Collision at Shasta and Pine Street
Redding, CA (October 19, 2022) – Daniel Ahern, a 27-year-old man, died following a traffic crash that occurred in the area of Shasta and Pine Street.
The Actions News Now reported died was riding a motorbike traveling late Wednesday night in downtown Redding. Preliminary investigation revealed the motorcyclist exited the Interstate 5 Freeway and drove onto Highway 44. When the rider approached the intersection of Shasta and Pine, he collided with a pickup truck.
Shortly after 11:40 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. Responding paramedics rendered aid to the victim, and transported him to a hospital. Sadly, the patient succumbed to his injuries and passed away. Authorities later identified ht deceased as Daniel Ahern.
Meanwhile, the occupants in the pickup truck appeared unharmed after the crash.
Detectives handling the case continue to investigate the precise cause of the deadly accident that happened at Shasta and Pine Street.
