Daniel Amaya, 27, Killed in Moreno Valley Car Accident on 60 Freeway
MORENO VALLEY (December 23, 2018) – A man was killed after an alleged DUI crash along the 60 Freeway late Friday night, December 21, according to The Press Enterprise.
Riverside County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 27-year-old Daniel Amaya, of Hemet.
As per the article, a California Highway Patrol dispatch said for an unknown reason a Nissan Maxima rolled over on the westbound 60 Freeway and a person was stuck under the car.
Suspect Richard Sosa, 24, Arrested For DUI
Amaya was pronounced dead at the scene. The fatal accident was reported about 11:15 p.m., east of Redlands Boulevard.
Deputies claimed that a driver involved was believed to have been under the influence of alcohol when the collision occurred. The suspect, 24-year-old Richard Raymond Sosa, was booked into Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside.
He was arrested on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated causing bodily injury and disorderly conduct with a bail set at $75,000.
The incident remains under investigation.
