Man Fatally Struck by Vehicle Near East Main Street
Barstow, CA (January 19, 2023) – Daniel Ambriz, a 43-year-old man, died following a pedestrian accident that occurred on the Interstate 15 Freeway.
On December 31, Saturday, a vehicle struck an individual in the northbound lanes of I-15. The Daily Press News reported the collision took place just south of East Main Street; within the city limits of Barstow.
Deadly Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 15 in Barstow
Emergency crews responded to the crash site shortly after 2:10 a.m. According to the article published online, the pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries after being hit by a 2019 Cadillac CTS. Medical personnel performed life-saving measures to the victim but he sadly succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s coroner recently identified the deceased as Daniel Ambriz.
Meanwhile, no immediate information was available on the driver of the Cadillac involved in the unfortunate event.
Investigators continue to work at this time to determine exactly how and why the deadly accident happened on Interstate 15 in Barstow.
