Daniel Avila Killed in Caruthers Crash Kamm and Brawley Avenues

Teen Killed in Head-on Collision with Semi-Truck

CARUTHERS, Calif. (March 10, 2025) — Daniel Avila, 18, of Caruthers, died Friday in a head-on crash involving a semi-truck at West Kamm and South Brawley Avenues in Caruthers.

The deadly crash occurred around midnight on March 7th, according to the Fresno County Sheriff-Coroner.

The teen was in a Ford truck traveling westbound on Kamm Avenue, just east of Brawley Avenue and a semi was traveling eastbound on Kamm, east of Brawley when they collided head-on between the two lanes.

Sadly, the teenage suffered fatal injuries at the scene.

Investigators are working to determine fault for the case and there may be dash camera video from the semi-truck.
