Daniel Bowman fatal bicycle accidentSAN BERNARDINO, California (August 24, 2017) — Daniel Woodrow Bowman, 25, of San Bernardino was killed early Sunday morning when his bicycle was struck by a motorist at Cajon Boulevard and Medical Center Drive, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner.

The young man was hit by the vehicle about 4:48 a.m. Paramedics with the San Bernardino County Fire Department rushed to help the victim, but he died about 5:01 a.m. at the scene.

The fatal crash is under investigation by the San Bernardino Police Department. Authorities will piece together what led to the crash and assign liability. Witnesses may help in their investigation as well as any surveillance video that may be available. Typically, one or both parties involved will be held liable for the collision. There may also be a third party responsible such as a government or business.
