Deadly Pedestrian Accident on the Santa Ana (5) Freeway
Los Angeles, CA (January 28, 2023) – Daniel Badillo Chavez, a 27-year-old Simi Valley resident, died following a pedestrian accident that occurred on Interstate 5, also known as Santa Ana Freeway.
My News LA published an article online reporting a male person struck by a vehicle in the southbound side of I-5. Our sources indicated the catastrophic incident took place near Cesar Chavez Avenue on January 25, Wednesday.
Shortly after 4:15 a.m., rescue teams arrived at the crash site. Responding paramedics immediately rendered aid and performed life-saving measures to the injured pedestrian but he sadly succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene. The Los Angeles County coroner’s office later identified the fatal victim as Daniel Badillo Chavez.
Officials mentioned the driver stayed after the collision and cooperated with the investigation process. At this time, detectives continue to work to determine exactly how and why the deadly accident happened on Santa Ana (5) Freeway in Los Angeles.
