Vehicle Strikes, Kills Man at I-215 and University Parkway
San Bernardino, CA (November 9, 2022) – Daniel Deleon, a 59-year-old man, died following a pedestrian accident that occurred in the area of Interstate 215 and University Parkway.
The San Bernardino Count Sheriff’s Department reported a vehicle struck an individual at the intersection of University Parkway and I-215 southbound onramp. The make and model of the car involved in the horrible crash have not been revealed thus far.
Deadly Pedestrian Accident in San Bernardino
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch, the collision took place at about 5:52 a.m. Shortly after, rescue teams arrived at the site. Responding paramedics reportedly performed life-saving measures to the injured pedestrian. Sadly, the man succumbed to his injuries and passed away at the scene around 6:05 a.m. Authorities later identified the deceased as Daniel Deleon, of San Bernardino.
Meanwhile, information on the driver involved in the unfortunate event remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
Detectives handling the case stayed in the area the whole morning. They continue to investigate exactly how and why the deadly accident happened at Interstate 215 and University Parkway.
