Motorist Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash on 210 Freeway in Irwindale Identified

IRWINDALE, Calif. (April 15, 2025) – Daniel Fisch, 42, of Monrovia, died in a crash on the Interstate 210 Freeway Friday afternoon, just east of Irwindale Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The 42-year-old man was involved in a two-vehicle crash on around 4:40 p.m. on Friday, April 11th on the westbound side of the freeway, police said.

The Monrovia man was driving a gray Chevrolet Impala and entered the freeway at the Irwindale Avenue on-ramp. Meanwhile, another motorist driving westbound in a gray Hyundai Elantra was involved in a solo crash into a metal electrical box on the shoulder of the freeway. That car spun out and hit the left side of the Impala as it entered the freeway. Both vehicles wound up in a dirt embankment.

Daniel Fisch suffered major injuries and died at the scene.

Meanwhile, the driver in the Hyundai, Rashad Kellen James Martin, 18, of Fontana, survived the crash with undisclosed injuries.

Investigators are working on the case to determine liability, but do not suspect drugs and or alcohol were factors.
