Daniel Garcia, 25; and Eryka Lopez, 23, Killed in Highway 101 Crash Near Dos Pueblos
SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, CA (August 26, 2021) – A crash killed Daniel Garcia and Eryka Lopez on Highway 101 in Santa Barbara County.
The coroner’s office identified the two Santa Maria residents as victims of the fatal wreck which took place on Wednesday.
The incident began when Daniel Garcia, 25; and Eryka Lopez, 23, were riding a Ford Expedition south on Highway 101. At the same time, a Volkswagen was going north.
The driver of the Volkswagen, 28-year-old Natalia Stallworth, crossed the dirt center divider for an unknown reason. The Santa Barbara woman then went into the southbound lanes.

In the process, she struck the Ford head-on near Dos Pueblos Canyon Road. The California Highway Patrol said both cars and nearby vegetation caught fire upon impact.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived and extricated all the three occupants who ended up trapped inside the wreckage.
CHP affirmed that Daniel Garcia and Eryka Lopez died as a result of the Highway 101 crash. Paramedics also pronounced Natalia Stallworth dead at the scene.
Lompoc Record and Noozhawk News wrote that the accident occurred on August 25 at around 2:18 a.m. The cause of the Santa Barbara County crash is still under investigation.
