Teacher Arrested After Alleged Rape
CONCORD, Calif. (Dec. 22, 2017) — Special needs adult educational teacher, Daniel Gonzalez, 55, is facing possible charges of felony rape Friday morning after being accused of having unlawful sex with a “disabled adult student.”
He is being held in jail in lieu of $2 million bail.
Gonzalez, who works for the Mt. Diablo Unified School District’s Adult Education Department, was arrested Gonzalez after they received a report on Dec. 7 about the teacher having sex with an adult student at the Loma Vista Adult Center. Police say the student has the intelligence of a young teenager and is unable to consent to having sex. The facility is located in the 1200 block of Carlos Avenue in Concord.
Police investigators are currently reviewing the case with county prosecutors.
The Concord Police Special Victims Unit is heading up the investigation into the allegations.
