Daniel Lusteg, 61, Hit and Killed by Car on Avocado Boulevard
LA MESA (August 11, 2018) – The 61-year-old man killed in a traffic collision last weekend on Avocado Boulevard has been identified, according to NBC News.
California Highway Patrol confirmed the name of the deceased as Daniel Lusteg.
The accident happened on August 4, Saturday morning.

Preliminary investigation revealed Lusteg merged left on the boulevard when a car attempted to pass him. As per the article, Lusteg continued to veer to the left side, and the car was apparently unable to stop and hit the bicyclist.
The impact caused Lusteg to be thrown from his bicycle. First responders rushed the victim to a hospital for treatment of head trauma, but the man later succumbed to his injuries.
Meanwhile, no details have been yet disclosed on the other motorist involved. Investigators continue to determine liability in the deadly accident.
