Man, 35, Killed in Crash Identified
FRESNO, Calif. (August 22, 2023) — Daniel Reason, 35, of Fresno, died in a bicycle accident involving a big rig truck Monday on South Cedar Avenue in front of the Calwa Preschool in Fresno.
The Fresno County Sheriff Coroner identified the man after notifying next of kin.
The fatal crash occurred around 12:40 p.m. on August 21st in front of 2558 S. Cedar Avenue, in the same black as the Calwa Elementary School.
Someone called 911 to report the collision and reported “there is a bike laying near the road as well.”
Daniel Reason was reportedly riding a mountain bike the sidewalk traveling southbound along Cedar Avenue. He reportedly rode into the street and was hit by the truck trailer.
Paramedics responded along with the Frenso Police Department to the scene in the southbound lanes of Cedar Avenue, just south of Kaviland Avenue.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the Fresno bicycle accident.
