Man Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash
RIVERSIDE COUNTY, Calif. (May 18, 2022) — Daniel Reyes, 47, of Moreno Valley, died in a car accident Tuesday afternoon on San Timoteo Canyon Road, just east of Live Oak Canyon Road.
The drivers of two or three vehicles collided about 1:32 p.m. on May 17th, between Moreno Valley and Redlands, a California Highway Patrol dispatch said.
The man was identified by the Riverside County Sheriff Coroner. He died at the crash scene at approximately 1:50 p.m.
Deadly Crash on San Timoteo Canyon Road
A caller told 911 operators that a silver Toyota Camry and two other vehicles were involved in Tuesday’s collision. Cal Fire Riverside Fire Department sent paramedics to the accident scene where they located the silver sedan blocking traffic lanes on San Timoteo Canyon Road. The vehicle had major damage to the driver’s side and the driver did not appear to be moving.
Daniel Reyes suffered major injuries and died shortly after the collision at the scene. Also, a second person suffered minor injuries in the crash. Paramedics transported the person to Riverside University Medical Center in Moreno Valley.
At least two lanes of the roadway were blocked by vehicles. Police were on scene to piece together evidence and witness statements.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing. Witnesses may contact the CHP San Gorgonio office at 951-769-2000.
