Daniel Saenz, 56, Killed in Sacramento Hit-and-Run Crash on Power Inn Road
SACRAMENTO, CA (August 7, 2022) – Daniel Saenz was killed after a hit-and-run crash on Power Inn Road in Sacramento.
The coroner’s office identified the 56-year-old man as the victim of the fatal collision which took place late last month.
The incident happened when a vehicle struck Daniel Saenz for an unknown reason in the Elder Creek neighborhood of south Sacramento.
Police said the driver hit him along Power Inn Road near Elder Creek Road and Andora Way. The Sacramento Bee and CBS Sacramento wrote that the accident occurred on July 26 at around 8:30 p.m.
Driver Hits Pedestrian, Flees Scene
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and then found the pedestrian down on the ground. He ended up suffering from serious injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Meanwhile, police affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the man and fled the area.
Officers are still searching for the hit-and-run suspect who left Daniel Saenz in the roadway. The incident forced a stretch of Power Inn Road to shut down for a time.
The Sacramento hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
