Daniel Sanford and Shirley Mae Sanford Fatal Victims in Car Crash on Highway 49
Roseville, CA (May 3, 2021) – Daniel Sanford, and Shirley Mae Sanford died following a traffic collision on Highway 49 on April 1, 2020.
The CBS News reported 93-year-old Daniel Sanford, and his 85-year-old wife were traveling on SR-49. According to the article published online, the catastrophic incident took place when another vehicle veered into the opposite lanes. The Dodge Durango drove into the path of the couple, leading to the crash.
The two vehicles slammed head-on on Highway 49 in Roseville.
Shortly after the incident, emergency teams arrived at the site and rendered aid to the husband and wife with serious injuries. Responding paramedics sadly pronounced Daniel Sanford dead at the scene. Meanwhile, an ambulance reportedly rushed Shirley Sanford to a hospital. Authorities mentioned the wife succumbed to her injuries several days after the incident.
DUI Suspect Arrested in Roseville Deadly Car Accident
Preliminary investigation later revealed the motorist who crossed over the opposite lanes, and triggered the collision was drunk at that time. Police then arrested the suspect and eventually sentenced him to life in prison in relation with the tragic crash.
