Daniel Soto, 41, Killed in Rancho Cucamonga Crash Near Arrow Route and Haven Avenue

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA (August 20, 2022) – Daniel Soto was killed after a DUI crash near Arrow Route and Haven Avenue in Rancho Cucamonga.

The sheriff’s department identified the 41-year-old man as the victim of the fatal collision which took place on Saturday.

The incident happened when Daniel Soto was riding a bicycle on the shoulder of westbound Arrow Route in Rancho Cucamonga.

DUI Driver Hits Bicyclist

He was cycling toward Haven Avenue with a group of riders including his juvenile son at the time. Deputies said a black 2019 Jeep Compass approached and then struck the rider.

The Sun wrote that the accident occurred at around 2 a.m. Paramedics arrived and pronounced Daniel Soto dead at the scene of the crash.

Meanwhile, officers determined that the driver of the car was under the influence when he hit the bicyclist. They soon arrested him on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter.
