Toyota Versus Sheriff’s Patrol Car Results in Fatal Crash
APPLE VALLEY, Calif. (July 3, 2024) — Daniel Stuardo Perez, 29, died in a crash involving a sheriff’s patrol vehicle on Bear Valley Road in Apple Valley.
The traffic accident occurred at around 4:02 p.m. on Saturday, June 29th, according to the Apple Valley Police Department and Victor Valley News.
The sheriff’s deputy was reportedly responding to a priority call with emergency lights and sirens activated when Daniel Perez allegedly made a left turn in front of the police vehicle, officials said.
The driver’s eastbound Toyota Corolla was turning into a parking lot near Kiowa Road, police said.
Unfortunately, the young man died at the scene of the crash. His family created a Gofundme page to raise money for his funeral costs.
Also, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Deputy suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The collision remains under investigation.
